Playbook #013: Websites & Domain Names
🖼️ The Big Picture
This week’s issue gives you a 2-for-1 opportunity: buying websites and trading domain names. We’re doubling up your options because these two strategies can feed off each other so well.
On the one hand, you have “domainers” who invest in URL domains (.com, .net, etc.) — mostly for speculation (although there are cash flow strategies.) Similar to real estate, the goal is simple: buy low, and sell high.
If you want a real estate analogy, you could liken this to buying land, and sitting on it until the value goes up.
On the other hand, you can buy existing cash-flowing website businesses — websites already selling products, or generating revenue through advertising or affiliate partnerships.
This would be similar to buying an apartment building. There can be different income sources, and expenses like management, operations, utilities, and marketing.
