Owning a business is often the quickest path to Economic Independence, and with 88% of millionaires being entrepreneurs, it’s no surprise that our Wealth Factory community has shown such strong interest in issues on this topic.

ECommerce is naturally one of the hottest sectors. Anyone can start an online business and (almost) anyone can buy one. And owners have the option to build them with some extremely attractive features (for those seeking a high quality of time as well as time and location freedom), such as:

• Low overhead (minimal monthly costs)
• Highly automated
• Outsourced and remote teams
• Easy to start from scratch and large marketplaces for those who want to buy
• Worldwide market
• Work from home on your terms (can start as a side gig and many businesses for sale advertise that the owner only works 5 - 10 hours a week once it’s optimized)

We’ve already released an issue on Amazon FBA (which is obviously a giant in the Ecomm space), so in this issue, we’re going to focus on businesses selling through:

1. Etsy - all items must be handmade, vintage, or a craft supply and made by or designed by the seller. This is the platform for artists and creatives.
2. Dropshipping - excellent for those looking to dip their toes into Ecommerce since you just have to sell and support your product. It’s shipped directly to the customer from your supplier.
3. Shopify - the 1,000 lb. gorilla. A “business in a box” for Ecomm business owners, including drop shippers, private labelers, retail store owners with an online presence, and more.

These are the most popular platforms for serious and successful sellers, and each has its own specialty.
